Paper goods from Istanbul,
shipped to forty-seven countries.
Cotton wedding suites, leather-bound notebooks, and gift packaging — designed in our Karaköy atelier, hand-inspected by a single craftsperson, and sent across the world in insured tracked parcels.
The difference is in the making.
Four quiet commitments that put a Papyon object in a different register from a generic stationery purchase. They shape what arrives in the parcel, and how long it stays on a desk.

01
Cotton paper from northern Italy.
Every invitation suite is printed on cotton stock milled by a third-generation family in Lombardy — a soft, deckle-edged sheet that holds ink without bleed and ages into a pale ivory over decades.
-
02
Fourteen artists, in-house.
Our design atelier of fourteen illustrators and typographers releases four collections a year — each one drawn from Ottoman pattern archives, Istanbul street typography, and the studio's own archive of hand-lettered wedding suites.
-
03
Hand-inspected, one by one.
Ninety-two percent of invitations are checked by a single named craftsperson before they leave the studio — folding, ribbon, sealing wax, and the final alignment of every monogram.

Carbon-neutral, since 2020.
Every parcel ships via DHL GoGreen with insured tracking over $80. We have offset every Papyon delivery — including inbound stock from Italy — since the autumn of 2020.
Six pieces, one quiet season.
A 620 m² studio on Kemankeş Caddesi.
In the autumn of 2011, product designer Elif Demirtaş opened a single room above a spice merchant in Karaköy and began printing wedding invitations by hand for friends. Thirteen years later, that room is a 620 m² atelier of thirty-eight people — design, production, and customer experience under one roof — still on the same street, still inspecting every order by eye.
Every Papyon object passes across a single worker's bench. Every mockup is drawn by an in-house artist, not a third-party platform. And every parcel leaves Karaköy with the same brown paper, cotton ribbon, and brass-stamped tag — wherever in the world it is going.
